Unfortunately, there are no state or federal laws governing home inspectors in  Kansas or Missouri . So, Kansas and Missouri do not have home inspection regulations? How can you be sure that your inspector is qualified, experienced, and trustworthy? As a full member #245322 of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), you can be assured that not only am I qualified, but I also adhere to the association’s standards of practice and code of ethics. To become a Member of ASHI, inspectors must pass two comprehensive written exams and have performed at least 250 professional fee-paid home inspections. After a report review to verify compliance with ASHI Standards, he or she may then be granted Membership. Many other home inspector associations welcome any and all to be "members", with very little minimum requirement beyond payment of "dues".
